Dustin Jones
View Full Profile
Dustin Jones considers himself "A Musician Who Happens To Play Guitar." Although he is primarily a Classical Guitarist, Dustin is heavily influenced by New Age Music, Celtic Music, European Power Metal as well as traditional Classical Music in his own compositions.
Dustin fell in love with the guitar in 1987 after being inspired by the movie La Bamba - which came out that same year. Over time, Dustin's guitar experience led him through an eclectic array of musical styles via playing in numerous groups and bands. However, as the years went by Dustin began to focus his interests into solo classical guitar. Through several teachers (and private study) he learned the works of the classical guitar repertoire, and began to write his own music during that time.
Dustin has been performing publicly and teaching private guitar lessons since 1999. His classical guitar training was most recently under Thomas Patterson M.A., (Professor of Guitar Studies at the
University of
Arizona ). Professor Patterson often recruits Dustin to judge the numerous guitar competitions held there as well. In both 2003 and 2006 Dustin performed Ariel Ramirez's Misa Criolla with choir and ensemble at
Pima
Community College in
Tucson . Dustin has also participated in master classes with world renowned classical guitarists Christopher Parkening and William Kanengiser. Dustin's debut CD Neskowin is to be released in December 2006 and will feature mostly his original compositions for solo guitar.

The Diagonals
View Full Profile
After almost a year hiatus from their popular semi-cover band Precious, Phil and Gedi began to regroup with the hopes of starting something fresh and new. Colin had lived in Tucson for a year and a half, and had had bad experiences with his two prior Tucson musical projects, and was simply looking for some pro musicians to play with. Kurt had just come away from a disappointing classic rock cover band. They both joined Phil and Gedi in November 2004 to form what would eventually become The Diagonals.
Colin later quit in 2006, and the Diagonals were joined by drum phenom Kevin Armstrong. Kevin played in a number of bands, including the USAF World's Most Dangerous Band.
